Job summary

Lineage is seeking a Maintenance Lead in Joliet, IL to guide a team responsible for maintenance of machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration components, and related facilities. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient operation.

You will plan and direct work, inspect and repair equipment, manage budgets, utilize CMMS, and drive continuous improvement and energy optimization across the site. Flexibility with shifts is required.

Qualifications

  • 4 years warehouse or processing facility equipment maintenance experience
  • In automated sites, 2 years pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical experience
  • 4 years industrial refrigeration experience (ammonia, Freon and/or CO2) or combination of experience and trade school
  • Successful completion of Refrigeration Operator 2 course and/or a CIRO or equivalent within 6 months of hire is the goal
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regionally adoptable standards for safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings may be required at some facilities
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of safety, electrical, fire protection and regulatory standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing PPE and freezer gear
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs./23 kgs.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
  • Some locations require being comfortable with various noise levels and Working at Height regulations

Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign and direct the work of a team of maintenance and engineering technicians
  • Perform physical inspection and calibration, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all mechanical assets
  • Collaborate with leadership to manage labor, materials, and budget for projects
  • Utilize CMMS and verify completion of work orders
  • Develop procedures to support continuous improvement, cost savings and energy management
  • Operate and maintain onsite motorized lift and rental equipment
  • May manage all third‑party maintenance contracts for the site

Job description

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (Must be flexible to work other shifts as needed)

Lead and train the team responsible for all maintenance-related activities involving machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, refrigeration system components, and electrical systems while following all regulatory, and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, assign and direct the work of a team of maintenance and engineering technicians
  • Perform physical inspection and calibration, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all mechanical assets impacting the operation of the facility, physical structure, and exterior grounds
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure adherence to departmental operating and capital expenditure budget for labor, materials, and lender required building projects
  • Ensure proper and complete utilization of the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and verifying completion of applicable work orders
  • Participate in developing procedures to help solidify continuous improvement, cost savings and energy management
  • Utilize onsite motorized lift and rental equipment as needed while operating, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining equipment
  • Other tasks as assigned
Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Some locations require demonstrated knowledge and practice of Working at Height regulations

Pay Range:$29.13 - $49.13
