Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Dallas, TX is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain complex electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment on 1st shift. You will setup equipment, troubleshoot PLCs, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure top-line uptime.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out, and proficiency with CMMS, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure customer quality.
• Available for standby assignments and overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and CMMS systems.
• Willing to attend training sessions, including out-of-state.
• Ability to train technicians at all levels.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and graphics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems and cylinders.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks following instructions.
• Enter all work in the computer-based maintenance program.
• Monitor spare parts usage and complete parts order forms.

1st Shift: 6 am-4 pm Monday-Friday, Saturday if needed

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
• Train all levels of technicians in more complex tasks and skills
• Responsible for direct reports activities
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field, or equivalent relative experience
• 7-10 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and CMMS systems
• Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
• Ability to train all levels of Technicians
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
• Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
• Bilingual is plus.(English & spanish)
