Position Summary

Maintenance Technician IV, MSAT, has responsibility to support the introduction of new processes, equipment, and products (technology transfers) to ensure a smooth transition into the production environment. This position supports technology transfers and introduction of new equipment to the site and acts as a liaison with production. Provides support during implementation of new products, processes, and equipment to ensure a smooth transition into the production environment including documentation and technical support.

This role is a project based role initially (M-F, 40 hours a week) for 6-12 months. Upon project completion, this role will move to 2-2-3 schedule (12 hours per day).

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and execution of development studies in support of new equipment, products, and processes.
• Develop and create / update production procedures for setup, changeover, and maintenance of new equipment or processes to ensure optimal operation of equipment.
• Perform training for Maintenance Technicians and Production Operators
• Assist with development and implementation of long-term continuous improvement projects in manufacturing operations.
• Use a variety of testing, tools, and measuring equipment in the efficient troubleshooting of electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
• Perform work requirements in a responsible manner, in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs and established safety procedures in accordance with OSHA requirements and company SHE guidelines.
• Contribute to the development of site culture by exercising creativity in dealing with new problems encountered within an evolving organization.
• Take an active role in finding solutions for issues and improvements of the facility as a whole
• Work with minimal supervision under the direction of the MS&T Technical Lead.
• Maintain classified area gowning certifications as required to support assigned tasks.
• Perform other similar and related responsibilities as assigned by area management; some overtime may be required with prior notice to support business needs.


Minimum Qualifications
• Extensive experience in a cGMP environment, either in production or development, with direct responsibility for equipment or process performance.
• Must have the ability to effectively understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in the English language.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and materials associated with equipment maintenance and setup.
• Willingness and ability to maintain aseptic gowning certification as established by company procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
• High school graduate, vocational school graduate, or equivalent
• Associate in engineering or a related discipline or equivalent mechanical trade school graduate preferred
• Previous experience with automated equipment, including experience with programmable logic controllers.
• Training in other technical disciplines including vacuum technology, mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics, and testing equipment in electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience with OEE, TPM, LEAN or other continuous Improvement systems

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $28.50 - $46.50 per hour.
