Job summary

WonderWorks Orlando is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Our Technicians use a broad skillset to keep the upside-down building in optimal condition, troubleshoot and repair attractions, and perform routine maintenance to ensure family fun.

The role offers a fast-paced, varied environment with opportunities to learn new skills. The position requires 1-3 years in construction, experience with computers, and 3 years in maintenance, with ability to work all shifts including nights

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in the construction field.
• 1 year experience working with and troubleshooting computers.
• 3 years’ experience in the maintenance field.
• Experience in troubleshooting, hydraulics, mechanical equipment and facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, assembles, installs and/or modifies backgrounds, showcases, partitions, walls, exhibits, graphics, etc. as directed
• Performs routine maintenance on exhibits according to daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checklists
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair computer-based exhibits
• Certifies new and existing team members to safely operate all major exhibits
• Perform diagnostics on sensors, actuators, and communication networks to identify and resolve technical issues
• Troubleshoot and implement long-term corrective actions as needed in all areas of facilities and exhibits
• Complete general maintenance tasks including but not limited to painting, carpeting, changing lightbulbs, plumbing, cleaning, and pressure washing
• Climb, bend, kneel, stoop, stand, and efficiently walk to all areas of the attraction which includes varying heights and surfaces
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Be able to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather conditions
• Observational skills to ensure safe practices and maintenance of equipment
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication
• Ability to multi-task and work independently within a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, use hands and/or fingers, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work on tasks at varying heights

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction preferred
• Previous experience working on ride-control systems preferred
• Previous themed entertainment experience is preferred

Hourly Rate: $24.00/hr
