Job summary

The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Sarasota, FL. This full-time role supports the maintenance team in keeping the property up to our high standards with hands-on repairs across HVAC (where certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, and more.

You will diagnose problems, implement durable solutions, and provide excellent customer service to residents.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician.
• EPA Universal certification is a plus.
• Experience with appliances, plumbing and HVAC.
• Strong work ethic and a customer-service mindset.
• Valid in-state driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry and other areas as needed.
• Diagnose issues, provide reliable fixes and document work orders.
• Ensure high-quality upkeep of apartment communities and respond to emergencies on-call.

The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team!This is an on-site role, reporting from one of The Collier Companies’ community offices in Sarasota, which offers hiking, recreation, and museums. It is home to the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art and the Myakka River State Park. Sarasota has beautiful coastal cultural centers and is one of Florida’s most desirable living locations.As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the Maintenance Team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s established standards. The Maintenance Technician is an expert at troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, and making solutions with a customer service attitude.
