Job summary

Touchmark at Georgetown is a senior living community north of Austin that provides Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. We seek a Maintenance Technician to keep buildings and equipment in good condition, ensure clean and attractive grounds, and respond quickly to repair requests.

Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems is preferred. The role requires physical work and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, with a 3pm–11pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of general maintenance experience in a community setting.
• Knowledge of appliance, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Read, write and speak English clearly.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug screening.
• Experience with smartphones/tablets and smart remotes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Keep grounds and common areas attractive, clean and well-maintained.
• Respond to installation and repair requests in a timely manner.
• Work with vendors as needed to complete tasks.
• Support a 3pm–11pm shift with dedication and energy.

This position is for the 3pm to 11pm shift.

The Ideal Candidates will:

• Be committed to and passionate about 100% customer satisfaction
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience with general maintenance in a community setting; previous experience working in a health care environment is a plus
• Have basic knowledge of appliance, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair
• Have knowledge and experience working with technology such as smart phones, tablets, smart remotes, smart TVs and personal computers.
• Ability to work with vendors
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Have working knowledge of business software and Microsoft operating systems
• Have the ability to move quickly to various areas of the entire property
• Physical work is a primary part of this role
• Be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate clearly with other team members and
• Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with , family members, staff members and visitors
• Valid Driver License
• Ability to pass a drug screening
