Job summary

Amcor LLC is hiring a manufacturing mechanic for a day shift in a high-volume plant. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production equipment, with emphasis on electrical systems, PLCs, and drives.

The role requires safe operation, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving. Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to read electrical schematics are essential, as is proficiency with SAP and computer tools.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience as a manufacturing mechanic in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Education or experience in electrical maintenance required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • PLC experience (RsLinx, RS Logix, Allen Bradley) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all projects, repairs and improvements on the line and mold changes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and controls, including PLCs and drives.
  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and safe production conditions.
  • Contribute to PM program updates and machine conversions.

Job Description Position Overview:

Ensures proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing company. Specializes in troubleshooting electrical repairs and systems and maintaining production and facility equipment.

Pay Rate: $36.98 - $50.05 Schedule: Day Shift - Monday to Friday 6AM - 2:30PM

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Accountable for all projects, repairs and /or improvements on the line as well as any mold changes and maintaining preventative maintenance
  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of electrical maintenance and controls/PLCs, VFD, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Power Flex 40 drives, Device Net, Scada, and SAP, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and conducting processing activities
  • Demonstrate knowledge in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ensures proper and safe operational conditions of all production lines and related equipment
  • Makes improvements to the production equipment, utilities, efficiency, and reliability
  • Recommend, plan, repair, modify, and fabricate any necessary elements following a problem or a project, which may have an effect on productivity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all issues related to the equipment
  • Proficient in three phase motor wiring
  • Assist in updating, developing, and improving equipment PM program
  • Assist and train production employees in machine conversions and PMs
  • Work with computer base programs such as SAP, FMS, MGD, Excel and Word
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

  • Education or experience in electrical maintenance required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • 2 or more years of PLC experience preferred (RsLinx, RS Logix, Allen Bradleys)
