Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago is seeking a senior maintenance technician to independently perform specialized maintenance tasks within the maintenance department and train lower-level technicians.

You will adhere to AbbVie's safety and GMP standards while supporting cross-functional teams, maintaining assets, and driving continuous improvements in reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with extensive maintenance experience or relevant technical certification.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desirable.
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools).
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).

• Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability-centered maintenance analysis.
• Capable of training others on tasks.

• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations.
