Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL is seeking a senior level maintenance technician to independently perform advanced maintenance within the maintenance department. You will train lower-level technicians on more complex tasks and support cross-functional teams to uphold quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance tasks, contributing to root cause analysis, and promoting continuous improvement while complying with GMP regulations and AbbVie's code of conduct.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or higher with relevant experience, or a technical degree with multiple years in maintenance.
• CMRT or equivalent accreditation is preferred.
• Proficient with advanced tools and MS Windows.
• Ability to train others and support cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Independently perform Senior level technical support within the maintenance department. Trains lower-level Technicians on more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Abbvie’s code of conduct
• Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
• Capable of training others on tasks.
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
• Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. Experience or Relevant Certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. Experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
