Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III (Plumber/Pipefitter) in Illinois. The role involves senior-level technical support in maintenance, training of others, and ensuring asset reliability.

This is a 1st shift position, 8 hours per day, with a strong emphasis on safety, GMP compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates hold a plumbing license, CMRT or equivalent accreditation, and 3+ years of related experience; higher credentials or a 4- or 5-year degree

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or relevant certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. experience.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired.
• Plumbing license is required or preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools).

• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations.
