Job summary

NVR, Inc.’s Prince George, VA manufacturing plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect and maintain machinery in a fast-paced setting. You will handle electrical repairs and perform non-electrical maintenance while adhering to safety protocols on a 1st shift (6:00am–2:30pm) and earning $33.90 per hour.

Your role includes troubleshooting, replacing components, and supporting facility upgrades with a focus on safety and quality in a dynamic homebuilding operations environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment.
• Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain machinery and equipment in a manufacturing plant.
• Identify and resolve equipment safety hazards and perform safety repairs.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the plant.
• Replace, overhaul, or fabricate damaged components including wiring, relays, PLCs, switches, motors, and controls.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose faults, and perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Assist in planning and installing facility upgrades and repairs including wiring and distribution equipment.
• Operate 24VDC control circuitry and 120/208/240/480VAC equipment.
• Apply knowledge of motor controllers, VFDs, sensors, and motion control devices.
• Provide training and guidance to other Maintenance Technicians.
