Yesway is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across Yesway and Allsup's locations. You will handle HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and foodservice equipment, with inspection of vendor work and strict adherence to safety rules.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years’ maintenance experience, plus EPA 608 certification or willingness to obtain it. Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs and working in a fast-paced setting with changing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in the maintenance field preferred.
• EPA 608 Type I & II or Universal certification, or willingness to obtain within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment at Yesway and Allsup's locations.
• Serve as SME for basic maintenance incl. HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and foodservice/beverage equipment.
• Facilitate and inspect work by 3rd party vendors.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and comply with procedures and regulations.
• Use CMMS to manage, track, close work orders, update asset records, and review history.
• Participate in training to stay up-to-date on equipment.
• Contribute to team goals and deliver quality, cost-effective results.
• Must lift up to 75 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment at our Yesway and Allsup's locations and serves as a subject matter expert in general maintenance functions including, but not limited to: light electrical, light carpentry, plumbing, HVAC\R and foodservice\beverage equipment
• Facilitates and inspects work performed by 3rd party vendors
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Accurately maintains inventory and tools on company provided vehicle
• Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to efficiently manage, track, and close work orders, update asset records, and monitor repair history
• Participates in training to keep up to date on how to manage existing and new equipment
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Ensure each job is completed in a quality, cost-effective, and timely manner with exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred and three to five years' experience in the maintenance field.
• Experience or training in one of the following fields: HVAC\R, Plumbing, Electrical, or Foodservice\Beverage repair
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, able to use hand/electric cart, able to use power and hand tools, required crouching and/or crawling, and able to use a ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and ability to work independently.
• Must have a valid driver's license and must be insurable as a driver.
• Must have EPA 608 Type I & II certifications OR EPA 608 Universal HVAC certification, or the willingness to obtain certification within a timeframe designated by management
