Job summary

Sephora seeks a Maintenance Technician III to inspect, monitor, and maintain facility and equipment at the Las Vegas DC. You will perform major mechanical and advanced electrical repairs on warehousing equipment under the direction of the Maintenance/Facilities Manager, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance on MHE, conveyors, and HVAC, plus documentation and compliance with OSHA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience with PLC logic principles and related components.
• Associates Degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology (preferred) and 2 years of maintenance experience OR 4 years of maintenance experience in a facilities, distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Automated Process Control or MHE maintenance experience.
• Lock-out/Tag-out, fall protection and OSHA regulations experience.
• Extensive mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• CFM, Electrical, HVAC, lift truck certifications/licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, monitor and maintain facility structure, equipment and grounds.

Summary:
The primary function of the Maintenance Technician III is to inspect, monitor and maintain the facility structure, equipment and surrounding building grounds and perform major mechanical and advanced electrical repairs on standard warehousing equipment under the direction of the Maintenance/Facilities Manager. This position works with local service providers, inspectors, property asset managers and other Technicians in caring for the overall functional performance of the building and equipment. Essential Functions of Job:

• Accurately complete Preventive Maintenance tasks on motorized material handling equipment, (MHE) conveyor belts and building HVAC systems.
• Assess, perform, and properly document necessary equipment and facility repairs and adjustments.
• Competently complete complex mechanical and electrical equipment and facility repairs and upgrades.
• Conduct required OSHA and state-mandated training pertaining to maintenance and sanitation activities.
• Comply with all safety laws, all of SEPHORA??s safety policies and report violations and potential violations to management.
• Maintain flexible work schedule and adhere to any designated shift and overtime as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in the utilization of various test and metering equipment.
• Knowledge of in-depth maintenance practices for MHE, conveyors, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic equipment.
• Knowledge of and experience in repairing and maintaining HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of and experience in standard maintenance practices (i.e. lubrication, adjustments, set-up, calibration, etc.)
• Ability to operate standard hand/power tools and shop equipment in a proficient and safe manner.
• Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency in preventive/predictive maintenance practices.

Working Conditions:

• Moderate but varying temperature and humidity in office and warehouse environments.
• Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather (i.e.: cold, heat dust, pollen, odors, oil, fumes and noise.)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, sit, squat, lift and/or walk for duration of scheduled shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 32 feet when operating scissor lift and other lift equipment.
• Must have manual dexterity to safely and competently use power tools and other mechanical equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 6 months experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic principles, uploading and downloading PLCs, System Control Software (SCSs), scanners, electronics such as photo sensors, remote Input/Output modules (I/Os), servo drives, and variable frequency drives.
• Associates Degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology (preferred) AND 2 years of maintenance experience in a facilities, distribution and/or manufacturing environment OR at least 4 years of maintenance experience in a facilities, distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
• Automated Process Control or MHE maintenance experience.
• Previous experience using & enforcing Lock-out/Tag-out process, fall protection, and other OSHA regulations
• Extensive mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Welding and/or fabrication experience.
• CFM, Electrical, HVAC, lift truck certifications/licenses preferred.

Starting base pay is $34.25 - $36.65/hr. Certain work schedules may also be eligible for shift differential pay.
