Job summary

Dal-Tile LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support our tile and stone production facilities in Alabama. You will diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and supervise equipment health with safety and efficiency in mind.

Responsibilities include dismantling and repairing machines, adjusting setups, operating forklifts, and maintaining shop tools.

Qualifications

• Advanced electrical wiring troubleshooting and short circuit protection system knowledge.
• Knowledge of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and programming them.
• Basic PLCs layout and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of process instrumentation and familiarity with common PC applications.
• Dismantles machines and performs repairs.
• Makes necessary machine adjustments for proper operation.
• Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance procedures.
• Basic machine shop knowledge (using lathes, endmills, drill press machines).
• Performs skilled welding (stick, MIG, etc.) and plumbing repairs.
• Maintenance of powered industrial trucks including mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Informs supervisor of operational status of equipment and notifies of problem areas.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps work areas safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.
