Job summary

Job Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of GMP manufacturing equipment and utility systems. This role is responsible for executing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and ensuring systems remain compliant, operational, and inspection ready. The Maintenance Technician III plays a hands‑on role in supporting manufacturing operations, maintaining critical facility systems, and partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational excellence.

About The Maintenance Team

You’ll join a Maintenance and Engineering team responsible for supporting manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and critical utilities in a GMP environment. The team works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Technical Operations to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations across clinical and commercial manufacturing programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, utility systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain instrumentation used in production, laboratory, and facility operations.
  • Ensure equipment and instruments are maintained and calibrated in accordance with manufacturer requirements and site procedures.
  • Maintain assigned areas to support inspection readiness and overall facility upkeep.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and supporting documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records within CMMS and document management systems in compliance with cGMP requirements.
  • Support equipment owners by evaluating equipment specifications and maintenance requirements.
  • Assist with qualification activities related to instrumentation and process improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure maintenance activities are performed in compliance with site procedures and GMP requirements.
  • Support development and revision of maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, and quality requirements, including FDA and OSHA standards.

Required
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 years of maintenance experience, including at least 3 years within a cGMP, FDA‑regulated, or biotechnology manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting startup and commissioning activities for GMP facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and utility systems, including equipment such as autoclaves, CIP/SIP systems, incubators, analytical equipment, process tanks, and related facility systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, control/SCADA, PLC, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Understanding of cGMP documentation requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
Preferred
  • Experience with CMMS platforms such as Blue Mountain or similar maintenance management systems.
Formalities

Location: Bothell, WA

Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday, alt. Saturday nights 6pm-6:30am

Compensation: $32.19 - $44.26/hour
