UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech II to join our team! As a Team Partner in Maintenance, you will handle repairs, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. We operate Monday - Friday with periodic overtime, and we provide on-the-job training.

Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot equipment issues using observation and testing instruments.
• Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing, record results, and make adjustments.
• Conduct safety checks on boilers and perform repairs.
• Inspect and maintain motors, belts, and other equipment parts.
• Perform basic welding repairs.
• Lubricate and inspect machinery components.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience; military experience considered.
• Pass maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.
• Overtime flexibility required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
