Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the community’s physical condition and deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure all service requests are completed promptly.

This role offers a clear path in the Maintenance Technician family with levels and training plans, and requires strong customer service, hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4–6 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Advanced knowledge in at least one: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.
• Certifications in EPA 608, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, or appliance repair within 9 months.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good time management skills.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repairs of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems; supervise contractors on assigned projects.
• Directly support safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through responsive, professional interactions.
• Work a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
