Job summary

New Land is seeking a Maintenance Technician I or II to join our property-management team. You will handle work orders, assist with preventive maintenance, and help keep residents happy across our mixed-use properties.

The role offers a full-time schedule, ~40 hours per week, with an on-call rotation, and a strong benefits package including health, dental/vision, 401(k) matching, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, oral and written, to interact with residents and team members.
• Ability to climb ladders safely and move around properties daily.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive between properties.
• Technical understanding of building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
• Basic computer skills; property management software preferred.
• HVAC certifications encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in a timely fashion and follow maintenance procedures.
• Track time spent on site in property management software.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Manage inventory of materials and supplies on site.
• Oversee work by outside contractors when needed.
• Turn vacant apartments and ensure safety and cleanliness.
