Job summary

Enpro’s Technetics Group in Columbia, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep production equipment reliable and safe. This hands‑on role covers preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance across production equipment, facilities, and utilities.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; respond to breakdowns; document work in CMMS; and support continuous improvement with root‑cause analysis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to independently manage moderate-to-high‑complexity maintenance tasks and repairs within established protocols.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, meters, diagnostic tools, and industrial maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and related documentation.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout.
• Ability to communicate equipment condition, repair status, risk, and recommended next steps clearly and professionally.
• Ability to prioritize assigned work, document maintenance activity accurately, and follow tasks through completion with limited guidance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment, facilities, utilities, and related support systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns with urgency and restore service safely and efficiently.
• Document maintenance work accurately in the CMMS, including repair actions and parts used.
• Coordinate maintenance with production, engineering, quality, safety, contractors, and vendors.
• Provide guidance or training to maintenance technicians as needed.
