Job summary

Southwire Company in Heflin, AL is hiring a Level II Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. You will perform a full range of multi-craft equipment maintenance with a focus on reliability, MTBF, and maintainability.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on motors and conveyors, troubleshooting, and supporting process improvements while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring safety and accuracy in maintenance records.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS.
• Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial manufacturing.
• 2-year technical degree desired.
• Able to mentor junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical methods.
• Install and align mechanical drive systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Maintain lubrication and machine data for historical records.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and operators.
