Job summary

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. in Ottawa, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep facilities and equipment in safe working order. You will lead maintenance on material handling equipment and install new gear, with ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electric/mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, 5S housekeeping, and safe operation across shifts. Prior experience in distribution maintenance is valued.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical degree or certificate or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum 2 years related experience in maintenance.
Experience with industrial (distribution) maintenance and breakdowns.
Must follow safety procedures and guidelines.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Proficient with hand tools and electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment including conveyors.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance with diagnostics.
Ensure full functionality of forklifts, racking, and general facility equipment.
Use CMMS to search parts, create work orders, and document work.
Follow 5S housekeeping and safety practices.
Support operations with safe, customer-focused service.
Assist with building and site start-up as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
