Job summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader providing life-changing technologies across diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded medicines. This role maintains manufacturing equipment, calibrates instruments, and conducts quality tests for production of final parts and assemblies.

The position requires an Associate degree in relevant fields and at least 3 years in industrial mechanics/electronics, with strong English communication. 4th shift: Fri-Sun, 6:00am–6:00pm.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electronics, Electricity, or Instrumentation.
• Minimum 3 years experience in industrial mechanics, electronics, instrumentation or related area, preferably in medical device industry.
• Verbal and written communication in English.
• Knowledge of GMP and safety standards.
• Knowledge of FDA Quality Systems and Regulations.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations for corporations, local area and state.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with safety rules and regulations (QSR/ISO Standards).
• Performs set-up, tests, repair, inspection and/or maintenance of equipment in Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality areas.
• Identifies, documents and implements corrective actions in equipment used in manufacturing.
• Performs corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.
• Installs and validates equipment in the production area to improve performance or reduce cycle time.
• Evaluates operational data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
• Verifies and maintains an inventory of tools, equipment and materials.
• Coordinates the construction of tools and accessories for the manufacturing area.
• You may be required to perform other tasks, as assigned.
