An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves performing essential maintenance and repairs for building upkeep, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and handling emergency maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, a valid Oklahoma Driver License, and the ability to work independently while maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and the public. This position offers a signing bonus and a dynamic work environment, where your skills will directly contribute to the smooth operation of facilities and the satisfaction of residents.
A New Hire Signing Bonus of $1,000 is offered for this position.
To be awarded a signing bonus, a successful candidate must sign a OCHA New Hire Signing Bonus Agreement prior to the first day of employment. Signing bonuses will be awarded in 2 equal $500 payments. The first payment will be made once the employee has completed one full 2-week pay period. The second payment will be made upon successful completion of the employee's Six Month Introductory Period.
Perform maintenance repairs for compliance with PHAS and equipment and unit make-ready work necessary for the upkeep and operation of building(s), grounds, and equipment.
Directly responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor, Housing Manager, or Maintenance Program Coordinator.
Office environment as well as field environment. Possible exposure to inclement weather, dusty, dirty, noisy, mechanical hazards, noxious fumes, paints and solvents, and unsanitary conditions. Stress due to volume, emergencies, and time schedules.
High School Diploma, or equivalent, with vocational school training, three years maintenance experience, or a combination thereof. Ability to use initiative, work independently and take appropriate action on unassigned tasks. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, deal tactfully with the public, and retain proprietary information as confidential. Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions. Demonstrate sound judgment. Ability to comply with Authority attendance policies. A valid Oklahoma Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
Will be required to perform on-call, emergency maintenance, as scheduled by Central Office, which can include working after-hours, during weekends, and holidays.
Able to lift, raise or lower, 50 pounds. Ability to prepare and read work orders, computer-generated products, and forms. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in person, by radio, and telephone. Ability to enter and access all areas of all buildings and dwelling units for which responsible. All physical requirements are evaluated based on the ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations under the ADA.
