Job summary

ALPLA Group is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to install, repair and maintain critical manufacturing equipment in a dynamic plant environment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, calibrate new machinery, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or ALPLA apprenticeship, plus 3 years’ experience in maintenance, with PLC and automation knowledge and OSHA safety training.

Qualifications

• 2 Year Technical degree or ALPLA apprenticeship preferred.
• 3 years' experience as Industrial Maintenance Technician or ALPLA apprenticeship required.
• Excellent diagnostic skills for identifying and fixing mechanical issues.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Certification in PLC programming, robotics, or automation systems.
• Industry certifications such as PMMI, CAP, or similar
• Strong PLC and automation troubleshooting skills
• Excellent knowledge of powered automation and drives/controllers
• 10hour OSHA certification

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain industrial machinery; troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Assist with installation, setup and calibration of new machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on motors, pumps, conveyors, CNC machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain infrastructure equipment and building; inspect and document maintenance.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Warehouse to improve plant performance.
• Support entry level maintenance technicians.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis for plant improvement.
• Ensure equipment complies with safety regulations (ISO 10218 for industrial robots).
