Job summary

Chem-Tech Solutions Inc., established in 1975 and based in Gastonia, North Carolina, seeks a Maintenance Technician II to maintain equipment, building systems, and the facility for safe, efficient operations. This first-shift role offers training on application systems and a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance and repairs, support inventory and parts usage, and work with a team of technicians and service providers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working in Maintenance or Similar Role
• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment preferred
• Electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
• Experience leading a service shop, coordinating workflows, or mentoring technicians preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Design, build and repair equipment/systems used to dispense products
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, pumps, sensors, controls, and wiring
• Install, repair, and maintain pumps, valves, plumbing components, and mechanical systems
• Assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and document work
• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and service providers as needed
• Travel to local customer sites to support service team when needed
• Complete assignment tickets in a timely manner
