HTI (Human Technologies, Inc.) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician Level II & III for a 2nd shift at our Kings Mountain area operation in North Carolina. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems to keep production safe and efficient.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, PLC and robotics familiarity, and ability to read prints and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting including bearings, gearboxes, drives, shafts, and alignment.
• Electrical troubleshooting with schematics and multimeter; motors and VFDs.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, valves, pumps, and controls.
• PLC diagnostics for alarms, I/O, sensors, interlocks; robot diagnostics a plus.
• Read mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic prints and follow lockout/tagout.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, CMMS documentation, and shift handoffs.
• Level 3: independently resolve complex breakdowns and guide others.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose faults in motors, drives, sensors, interlocks, field wiring, and control circuits.
• Support robotic cells and tooling; diagnose robot issues and assist with safe recovery.
• Perform mechanical teardowns, replacements, repairs, and alignment on gearboxes and drives.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems; address cylinders, pumps, valves, and actuators.
• Complete preventive maintenance and use downtime for inspections and reliability work.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality to resolve weld-related issues and verify repairs.
• Document work and recurring failures in CMMS; communicate risks during handoff.
• Follow lockout/tagout and machine-guarding procedures; use proper diagnostic tools.
• For Level 3, own complex breakdowns, determine root cause and mentor teammates.

HTI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician Level II & III (2 nd Shift) for a leading manufacturing operation in Kings Mountain, NC. In this role, you will support safe and continuous production by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment, automation systems, tools, and facility infrastructure. This position plays a critical role in reducing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring production and quality goals are met.

Experience with PLCs, robotics, industrial automation, and troubleshooting production equipment is highly preferred.

This position is Direct Hire, M-F 2 nd shift (2:30PM – 10:30PM). The pay range is $30 - $39/hr depending on experience.

What You Need:

• High school diploma or GED; hands-on industrial maintenance experience.

What Your Role Will Look Like:

The Maintenance Technician Level II & III will be responsible for supporting safe and continuous production through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This individual will help minimize downtime, improve operational efficiency, and ensure equipment reliability while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to restore safe operation and reduce downtime.
• Diagnose faults in motors, drives, sensors, interlocks, field wiring, and control circuits using schematics, meters, PLC status, and equipment alarms.
• Support robotic cells and tooling by diagnosing robot and end-of-arm issues, checking I/O and safety interlocks, and assisting with safe recovery after faults.
• Perform mechanical teardowns, component replacement, repairs, and alignment on gearboxes, drives, bearings, fixtures, linear motion components, and related equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cylinders, pumps, valves, actuators, and associated hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance and use available downtime for inspections, repairs, and follow-up work that improves equipment reliability.
• Work with Production and Quality to resolve equipment and weld-related issues, confirm repairs, and return equipment to service.
• Document work and recurring failures in the CMMS; communicate temporary repairs, outstanding risks, and permanent repair needs during shift handoff.
• Follow lockout/tagout, machine-guarding, and environmental procedures while using appropriate diagnostic and shop tools.
• For Level 3 assignments, take ownership of more complex breakdowns, help determine root cause and lasting corrective action, and share troubleshooting knowledge with the team.
