Job summary

The Marzetti Company in Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Technician at level G2 to support packaging and processing equipment. You will follow safety protocols, perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs, and assist higher-level techs on projects and rebuilds.

You will be expected to work regular shifts, overtime, and be on call as needed, with opportunities to advance through higher level requirements and IPC-style documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Preliminary qualifications for the G2 maintenance level.
• Ability to follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
• Follows all safety protocols and wears appropriate PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

• Starts and safely stops key equipment such as packaging lines and conveyors.
• Adjusts box erectors/closers for specific carton sizes and yields usable cartons.
• Disassembles and reassembles filler pumps with correct O-rings.
• Installs and removes heater assemblies and lid knife assemblies with proper alignment.
• Performs preventive maintenance duties as written and may use a PLC interface to diagnose.
