Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Waltham, MA to join a dynamic facilities maintenance team. This full-time contract-to-hire role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep building systems safe and efficient.

You will document work in the CMMS, support facility operations, and provide excellent customer service while working independently or with a team in a compliant, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• EPA 608 and valid driver’s license required; forklift, aerial lift, OSHA certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read safety procedures, manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
• Basic math for maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine repairs on commercial building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and general building issues.
• Monitor equipment performance, document maintenance activities, and report concerns promptly.
• Perform tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, belt replacement, coil cleaning, painting, and minor carpentry repairs.
• Communicate effectively with occupants, vendors, and team members to provide exceptional customer service.
• Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Support contractors, special projects, and overall facility operations while maintaining organized work areas.
