Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Maintenance Assistant II for its Maryland nursing center to assist in repairs and routine maintenance in a safe, compliant manner under supervisor guidance.

You will perform HVAC and medical equipment upkeep, electrical work, plumbing, fire alarm and extinguisher checks, generator tests, grounds maintenance, and light carpentry, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations for residents and staff.

On-the-job training provided, no licensure required.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided.
• High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance of HVAC, medical equipment, wheelchairs.
• Checks oxygen level of concentrators as requested or needed.
• Performs water temperature tests as requested/scheduled.
• Tests fire alarm systems and fire safety equipment.
• Builds benches, flower boxes, and other carpentry work.
• Maintains and replaces electrical outlets and wiring in equipment.
