Job summary

Drury Hotels is hiring a Maintenance Tech I for the Valdosta property. You will maintain safe, smooth operation of the hotel’s facilities and grounds, performing routine repairs and preventive maintenance to keep systems running. Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills across hotel systems.
• Ability to dismantle equipment to repair or replace defective parts.
• Knowledge of water chemistry and pool maintenance.
• Experience implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• General building maintenance including minor electrical and plumbing.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery faults.
• Flexibility for emergency repairs.

• Complete repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC.
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair.
• Implement and monitor safety/compliance programs for the facility.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs.
• Contribute to guest experience with courteous service.

What you will do:

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

• Complete repairsand preventative maintenanceon a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipmentand HVAC
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair
• Implement and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response and injury prevention
• Keep detailed records and reports
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs
• Contribute to an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and friendly guest service

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance
• Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality
• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operationsfor pool maintenance
• Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel
• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing
• Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods
• Flexibility to be available for emergency repair
