Job summary

AMSOIL INC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support safe, efficient manufacturing at the AMSOIL Center in Superior, Wisconsin. The role focuses on maximizing uptime, supporting production goals, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The position runs Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:00 pm with occasional overtime. You will troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Industrial Maintenance/Automation.
• 5+ years maintenance experience in industrial/mechanical, electrical, HVAC, facilities or related trades.
• Experience in manufacturing/high-volume production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Welding, fabrication, machining and industrial electrical experience desirable.
• Experience using CMMS software such as Limble is preferred.
• Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support production line changeovers and equipment setup.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Maintain and repair production equipment, material handling equipment, and facility systems.
• Support HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general facility maintenance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Quality to improve equipment performance.
• Utilize CMMS to document maintenance activities and manage work orders.

Scheduled hours:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
