Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs diagnostic evaluation and repair of hand tools, hydraulic tools, battery-powered tools, hoists, and hot sticks. This position assists with other tool repair, mobile testing, and administrative branch duties as necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection and diagnostic evaluation of tools.
  • Identify parts required to repair tools.
  • Assist in preparing tool repair estimates for customers and placing orders for repair parts.
  • Repair tools and perform quality control tests of repaired items.
  • Build custom rope products and ground sets.
  • Perform high voltage testing.
  • Enter data into the computer system and maintain required documentation.
  • May travel or otherwise assist mobile testing technician teams as required, including loading, and unloading material, conveying material per sales tickets, managing inventory, safely operating equipment, performing high-voltage testing, and maintaining appropriate documentation for billing.
  • Participate in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and practice good interpersonal relations with customers and co-workers.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Background repairing hydraulic systems or tools.
  • Knowledge of safety practices.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand on your feet most of the day.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in repairing mechanical, battery, electric, and gas-powered tools.
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
