Job summary

Sares-Regis Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the South Beach Marina Apartments in San Francisco, CA. The role requires hands-on maintenance across turnover, repairs, and common areas, with a schedule Tue-Sat, 8am-5pm.

You'll work on electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and HVAC tasks, use machine tools for fabrication, and help maintain inventory. A strong focus on safety, customer service, and teamwork is required to support our multifamily communities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances)
• Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
• Excellent customer service skills
• High school diploma or GED, technical school, or 3-6 months related experience or training
• Weekend work availability is required

Responsibilities

• Work on turnover and renovation units and respond to maintenance service requests.
• Perform internal and external repairs (drywall, painting, plumbing, appliances, boilers/HVAC).
• Participate in emergency and after-hours coverage as scheduled.
• Operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts, jigs and fixtures.
• Fabricate and repair cabinets, counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
• Maintain inventory and related paperwork; keep storage areas orderly.

DAYS REQUIRED: TUESDAY - SATURDAY, 8AM - 5PM

Sares Regis Group is seeking an experienced maintenance professional for our beautiful 414-unit community, South Beach Marina Apartments! This is an excellent opportunity in a beautiful location for someone looking to grow their career in the property management industry!

Duties

• Works in turnover and renovation units, as well as responds to maintenance service requests.
• Works on external, as well as internal repairs which may include, but is not limited to, drywall repairs, painting, fence and gate repairs, plumbing installation or repairs, appliance repairs, boilers and HVAC systems, and common area clean-up.
• Participates in emergency and after hours coverage based on the established schedule or as required.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
• Fabricates and repairs cabinets, counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
• Maintains or assists in maintaining inventory and prepares related paperwork.
• Keeps storage facilities and equipment in an orderly, working condition.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work; able to use required tools and machinery; professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors; knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements; knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work.
• Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service skills a must!
• Ability to work weekends required.

Salary is $28.00-$32.00/hour. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location. Regular full-time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits and vacation accrual. Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.

Salary Information

$28 - $32Hourly Wage
