Job summary

Sares Regis Group Residential in San Diego is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to service a 970-unit community at Promenade at Rio Vista. You will handle turnover, renovations, and a broad array of repairs in electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and HVAC, with opportunities for fabrication of parts and fixtures.

The role requires two years across trades, strong customer service, and weekend availability. A competitive package with benefits is offered for full-time, 30–40 hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, appliances, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret service orders and safety manuals.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional interaction with residents and vendors.
• Weekend work required.

Responsibilities

• Work on turnover and renovation units and respond to maintenance requests.
• Perform internal and external repairs including drywall, painting, plumbing, appliances, boilers, HVAC, and common areas.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours as scheduled.
• Operate tools to repair or fabricate parts and fixtures.
• Fabricate cabinets, counters, benches, and wood structures.
• Maintain inventory and related paperwork.

OPPORTUNITY: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II - SAN DIEGO, CA

DAYS REQUIRED: THURSDAY - MONDAY

Sares Regis Group is seeking an experienced maintenance professional for our beautiful 970-unit community, Promenade at Rio Vista! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the property management industry!

• Works in turnover and renovation units, as well as responds to maintenance service requests.
• Works on external, as well as internal repairs which may include, but is not limited to, drywall repairs, painting, fence and gate repairs, plumbing installation or repairs, appliance repairs, boilers and HVAC systems, and common area clean-up.
• Participates in emergency and after hours coverage based on the established schedule or as required.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
• Fabricates and repairs cabinets, counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
• Maintains or assists in maintaining inventory and prepares related paperwork.
• Keeps storage facilities and equipment in an orderly, working condition.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have 2 years experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work; able to use required tools and machinery; professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors; knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements; knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work.
• Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service skills a must!
• Ability to work weekends required.

Salary is $23.00 - $27.50/hour. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, bonuses, and rental discounts depending on location. Regular full-time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits and vacation accrual. Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.

Salary Information
