Job summary

HDT is seeking a maintenance technician in Ohio to perform preventive maintenance and targeted repairs on structural systems including HVAC, plumbing and electrical components. You will read diagrams, operate basic tools and a forklift, and support safety and reliability in a rugged industrial environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to interpret designs. This full‑time role offers company benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read diagrams and designs.
• Able to operate small power tools, hand tools, and high‑pressure equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and diagnostically tests heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Repairs structures per work orders; determines materials and tools required.
• Performs basic plumbing such as repairing pipelines and installing fixtures.
• Performs basic electrical work like replacing switches and wiring; installs conduit.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs maintenance work and diagnostic testing on structural systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical
• Repairs existing structures according to work orders or verbal instructions; determine materials, equipment, tool requirements needed to complete the task
• Performs basic plumbing such as repairing of existing pipe lines, installation of plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters
• Performs basic electrical work such as replacing faulty switches, sockets breakers. Installing new conduit, wiring and electrical machinery
• Responsible for preventative maintenance program

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver's license is required
• Ability to read diagrams and designs
• Able to operate small power tools, other hand tools, computerized and high-pressure equipment
• Ability to operator a fork lift
