Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, develop daily goals, and ensure optimal plant performance. Responsibilities include inspections, equipment setup, and mentoring others in repair techniques.

The role requires welding, fabrication, and machining skills, plus familiarity with EAM software and Microsoft Office. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in a related technical field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of related maintenance experience and/or technical training required.
  • Ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills; machining experience with mill and lathe preferred.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and document repairs and preventive maintenance in the plant.
  • Perform inspections and repairs on production equipment and assist in machine repairs.
  • Set up new equipment and choose effective repair methods.
  • Interpret blueprints and part drawings for maintenance tasks.
  • Apply basic machining skills using a vertical mill and lathe.
  • Demonstrate welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and submit end-of-shift reports.

Job description

Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician II will assume advanced tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot when necessary. This positionis responsible foranalyzing equipment to troubleshoot problems and making any necessary repairs with minimal oversight from maintenance supervision. This individual is encouraged to develop daily goals/strategies and ensure all equipment is running effectively and efficiently.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday (OT on Fridays as needed)

  • 6:00am - 4:00pm
Highlights of your role:
  • Work efficiently with the work order system (EAM) to document repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the plant.
  • Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment;assistin machine repairs and train others on proper repair techniques and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Set up new equipment; troubleshoot using specialty tools and make decisions on effective repair methods.
  • Interpret blueprints and part drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Apply basic machinist skills using a vertical mill and lathe.
  • Demonstrate understanding of welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status andsubmitend-of-shift reports.
  • Promote a culture of safety and integrity by consistently following all safety protocols, reporting hazards, and engaging in training andinitiatives.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
  • High School diploma or GEDrequired;Associate’sdegree in a related technical field strongly preferred.
