Job summary

Drury Hotels seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our Columbus property in top shape. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC and kitchen equipment, plus minor carpentry and painting. You will train teammates and help recruit for the department to ensure smooth operations.

The role emphasizes safety, detailed records, and delivering a superb guest experience through reliable, friendly service at an award-winning employer.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills.
• Ability to dismantle partial or full equipment to repair/replace components.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration for pool maintenance.
• Experience implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of building maintenance incl. minor electrical/plumbing repairs.
• Ability to speak and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC.
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and injury prevention.
• Keep detailed records and reports; provide training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs.
• Contribute to guest experience with courteous service.

What you will do:

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

• Complete repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC

• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair

• Implement and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response and injury prevention

• Keep detailed records and reports

• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members

• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs

• Contribute to an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and friendly guest service

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance

• Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality

• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operationsfor pool maintenance

• Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel

• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing

• Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English

• Ability to troubleshoot andrepair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods

• Flexibility to be available for emergency repair
