Job summary

Drury Inn & Suites – Greenville, SC is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to keep the property safe and well-maintained. You will perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and assist with light carpentry and painting.

The role includes implementing safety programs, keeping records, and supporting team training. You will collaborate with management, recruit for department needs, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience through courteous service.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills.
• Ability to dismantle equipment to repair or replace components.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, testing, filtration for pool maintenance.
• Experience implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of building maintenance including minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Ability to speak, write and follow directions in English.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults.
• Flexibility for emergency repairs.

What you will do:

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

• Complete repairsand preventative maintenanceon a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipmentand HVAC
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair
• Implement and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response and injury prevention
• Keep detailed records and reports
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs
• Contribute to an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and friendly guest service

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance
• Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality
• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operationsfor pool maintenance
• Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel
• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing
• Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English
• Ability to troubleshoot andrepair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods
• Flexibility to be available for emergency repair
