Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Sarasota is seeking a Maintenance Tech. I to support safe, reliable facility operations. The role focuses on operating department equipment and performing general maintenance to keep the hospital running smoothly.

The position emphasizes flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth, with training available for an electrical maintenance license. Prior hospital maintenance experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; electrical maintenance license preferred but not required.
• One to two years related experience and/or training; equivalent education/experience.
• General maintenance background; hospital maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate department equipment and perform general maintenance to keep the facility and equipment in safe, working order.
• Ensure a safe environment of care for employees, patients, and visitors of all ages.
• Provide security in the absence of a security officer and perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

The Maintenance Tech. I is responsible for the operation of department equipment and general maintenance of the facility & equipment. These duties are performed in accordance with all applicable standards to provide a safe environment of care for employees, patients, & visitors of all ages. Other responsibilities include security in the absence of a security officer and other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. An electrical maintenance license preferred but not required (can train).
• Experience: One to two years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. General Maintenance background experience required, hospital maintenance experience preferred but not required.
