Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Barclay at Sarasota to perform preventive maintenance, ensure clean and safe surroundings, and document all maintenance activities. The role supports residents and families during move-in tasks and adheres to established safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, knowledge of OSHA requirements, construction/repair coordination experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating building repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Follow preventative maintenance program as directed by the Director of Facility Management.
• Manage time effectively to complete tasks within specified time frames.
• Keep building and grounds clean, safe, and appealing to residents, guests, and prospects.
• Document maintenance records for systems and equipment (e.g., fire safety, HVAC, generators).
• Assist new residents with move-in tasks during admissions and discharges.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician for The Barclay at Sarasota

Primary Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

• Successfully follows a preventative maintenance program set forth by the Director of Facility Management, which including paint-touch up, grounds and building tour readiness, lights are working, gutters are free and clear of debris, pathways are clear, trash and debris are removed from the property.
• Practices excellent time management skills and completes tasks within company time frames.
• Ensures that building and grounds are clean, immaculate and appealing to residents, guests, referral sources and prospects.
• Provide accurate documentation as it applies to maintenance records on all systems and equipment, including but not limited to the fire sprinkler system, fire extinguishers, fire monitoring system, kitchen hood cleaning, elevator inspections, boiler permit, nurse call system, emergency back-up generator, automobile maintenance, HVAC and PTAC service.
• Assists new residents and family members with move-in tasks during admissions and discharges.
