Job summary

AdventHealth in the United States is seeking a maintenance technician to assist in the operation and upkeep of building systems (painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, alarms). You will maintain records, keep logs, and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition.

The role requires reading and interpreting safety rules, MS Office skills, and CMMS data entry, with at least 1 year of healthcare maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak conversational English
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to read and understand work orders
• Ability to enter data in CMMS system
• Complete all work as assigned
• Education: High School Grad or Equivalency (required)

Responsibilities

• Assists in operation and maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems

• Collaborates with other departments to avoid interference with operations
• Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested
• Assists in tests, maintenance, and repairs of machinery and systems as scheduled or needed
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks daily
• Responds to emergency calls and is on call as facility needs
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Description

• Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems
• Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
• Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation
• Manages and maintains tools and equipment in good working condition
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks do not interfere with operations
• Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested
• Assists in tests, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under direct supervision
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis and in a timely manner
• Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals [Required]
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists [Required]
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes [Required]
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment [Required]
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills [Required]
• Proficient in the operation of gas and electric outside equipment and tools [Preferred]
• Ability to read and understand work orders [Required]
• Ability to enter data in CMMS System [Required]
• Complete all work as assigned [Required]

Education: High School Grad or Equ [Required]

Work Experience: 1+ year experience in healthcare setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications: Driver's License (DL) [Required]
