Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician. You will perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery and systems, carry out minor repairs, and support various departments with process changes.

You will train and mentor new maintenance associates, install equipment, and uphold safety standards, while maintaining records and tools inventory to ensure uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years maintenance experience or more.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance according to procedures to ensure minimal downtime of equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility, including doors, windows, and flooring.
• Provides support to other departments regarding process and/or equipment changes.
• Trains and mentors new maintenance associates.
• Installs equipment, components, and systems with and without outside services.
• Identifies and reports potential safety hazards. Applies corrective action(s) as necessary.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Inspects tools, parts, and equipment regularly to ensure good working condition, and requests replacements as needed.
• Follows all safety regulations and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Other duties as assigned.
