Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is hiring a Maintenance Technician I to perform routine and breakdown maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.

The role ensures plant operations stay compliant with safety policies and GMPs, reading manuals and work orders, and collaborating with production to minimize downtime. Competitive starting wage with shift differential and a full benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance/repair experience or training preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
• Excellent communication skills with managers and colleagues.
• Able to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and grounds in line with SOPs and safety policies.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Repair, update and install equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Update work orders and maintain maintenance logs in in-house systems.
• Coordinate with production to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
• Conduct buildings and grounds maintenance as required.
