Job summary

City of Lake Elsinor is seeking a Maintenance Worker I to join the Public Works team at Launch Pointe Campground in Lake Elsinore. The role involves multi-division maintenance across streets, parks, lake facilities, and stadium areas, with shift hours from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM and weekends on a 9/80 schedule.

Under supervision, you will perform tasks ranging from concrete and landscaping to signage, irrigation, and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• One year of laborer experience in construction, maintenance or landscape work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver’s license with satisfactory driving record; ability to obtain Class A license within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, repair, construction and installation work in streets, parks, lake recreation areas, facilities, and the stadium; inspects areas and reports safety hazards.
• Streets Division: repair, maintenance and construction of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, streets, drainage, pavement and related facilities; weed abatement and graffiti removal; signs and striping.
• Parks Division: maintenance of grounds, restrooms, irrigation, weed control, and landscaping tasks; uses hand and power tools.
• Lake Division: maintains docks, buoys, boats, beaches and related facilities; operates watercraft and maintenance equipment.
• Facilities Division: janitorial services, cleaning and sanitation of restrooms and facilities.
