Mandel Group is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician I or II for East Pointe Commons in Milwaukee, WI. The role involves plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs, with on-call duties and occasional evenings/weekends. Residents’ requests must be handled promptly and maintenance records kept up to date.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance/facilities experience required or preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance services such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs.
• Respond to resident maintenance work orders and update management on status.
• Work some weekends and night shifts as needed.
• Keep amenity areas clean and safe; maintain safety equipment and records.
• Assist in preventative maintenance and unit turnovers as required.
• Handle grounds duties including trash removal and cleaning.

Job Details: Job Location: East Pointe Commons - Milwaukee, WI 53202, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $21.00 - $27.60, Job Shift: Day, Mandel Group is searching for a full-time apartment Maintenance Technician I or II to assist our team at East Pointe Commons in Milwaukee, WI.

Duties of a Maintenance Tech include:

• Perform general maintenance services such as: plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement, etc.
• Respond timely to resident maintenance work order requests and notify management upon completion of requests or of pending work order needs.
• Be available to work some weekends and night work.
• Keep amenity areas in clean and operable condition. Maintain and monitor all safety related equipment and required records.
• Participate in preventative maintenance to include pool, exterior lighting, filter changes and apartment inspections.
• Perform routine maintenance on vacant units in the most timely and efficient manner prior to new resident occupancy per Mandel standards.
• Grounds keeping duties to include trash removal and cleaning.

Requirements for the Maintenance Tech:

• Prior maintenance/facilities experience

Recommended but not required skills /certifications:

• EPA Universal, type 1 or 2, certifications
• CPO certification
• 1-3 years maintenance/facilities/HVAC experience
