Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a Maintenance Helper to perform basic multi-craft tasks in the maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and buildings in Atlanta, GA. You will assist trades personnel with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and painting work.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of related experience. Preferred candidates have basic plumbing and electrical skills and general maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
• One to two years of job-related experience.
• Basic maintenance, plumbing and electrical skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic installation, repair, and replacement of components in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as directed by trades staff.
• Conduct general maintenance and upkeep of buildings; inspect equipment, fixtures and systems.
• Move furniture, equipment, fixtures, and other items as needed.
• Assist trades personnel in installation, repair and replacement tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
