Job summary

Distribution Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for its Dallas, TX facility to perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, conveyors, doors, and related warehouse systems. The role includes inspections, lubrication, and troubleshooting under supervision, with emphasis on safety and accurate record-keeping.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of maintenance experience, basic electrical knowledge (AC/DC, single/three phase), carpentry and plumbing skills, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of AC/DC and single/three phase power.
• Basic carpentry and plumbing skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on material handling equipment (MHE), conveyor systems, dock doors, warehouse equipment, and facility infrastructure across Distribution Center.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including equipment inspections, lubrication, adjustments, cleaning, and component replacement under established procedures.
• Perform predictive maintenance tasks on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment using tools such as ultrasound, infrared laser thermometer, and multimeter.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, Senior maintenance personnel, and Operations Leadership.
• Assist with troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues and escalate more complex problems to higher-level technicians or the Maintenance Manager.
• Perform basic building maintenance including painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing repairs, lighting replacement, carpentry, and facility upkeep.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation, maintenance logs, and inspection records.
• Assist with maintaining maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and maintenance standards.
• Participate in training and skill development opportunities to increase maintenance knowledge and technical capabilities.
