Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work independently and with plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance on production and facilities equipment.

You will troubleshoot issues, repair failures, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency while supporting company goals. The role requires hands-on expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical repair, with strong reading of drawings and data.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
  • Strong mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, pumps, hydraulic lines, hoses, and piping and tubing systems
  • Repairs or replaces control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, and contactors as needed
  • Performs work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments on all production and facilities equipment
  • Sets up and operates welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other metal working equipment
  • Fabricates and modifies new and existing equipment
  • Develops, prepares, and presents recommendations and reports as requested
  • Participates in plant safety, health, and environmental programs
  • Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after all processes to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

  • Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate a plus
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
