Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC in Itasca, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician I, II, or III for the 2nd shift. The role covers mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines and facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance and maintain PM documentation, and you must provide your own tools. Starting pay ranges by level ($29.70/hr, $33.60/hr, $35.20/hr) with a shift differential.

Qualifications

• 2-year trades degree or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Able to communicate with Maintenance Manager and team.
• Legible record-keeping and data entry.
• Motivated, flexible and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Welding, fabrication, 3-phase electrical; troubleshoot AC/DC drives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance according to skill level and safety policies.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test and adjust.
• Detect faulty operations and report to maintenance manager.
• Use Microsoft Office to order parts and schedule jobs.
• Maintain GMPs and work safely at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SIGN-ON BONUS INCENTIVE:

We are providing a $1,000, $3,000, or $5,000 retention bonus for every new hire starting as a Maintenance Tech I, II, or III at the Itasca, IL facility. The payout is broken down as below:

• 50% after 90 days of employment.
• 50% after 180 days of employment.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Tech performs highly diversified duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of machines, equipment and plant facilities. This includes scheduled, unscheduled or emergency repairs. Perform regular preventive maintenance which also includes maintaining supporting documentation for the PM’s.

Must provide their own tools.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs.
• Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) at all times .
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Able to communicate and take direction from Maintenance Manager and communicate effectively with line workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant Manager.
• Legible record-keeping and data entry skills.
• Must be highly motivated, flexible and have creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Welding and fabrication, full understanding of 3 Phase electrical, three phase motor controls. Troubleshoot AC & DC drives.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
• Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated.
• Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• May be required to work weekend and night hours to fill in as needed.

Starting Pay: Maintenance Technician I $29.70/hr, Maintenace Technician II $33.60, Maintenance Technician III $35.20 and a shift differential is offered for 2 nd shift opportunities. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90 th day of employment.
