Job summary

Ranpak in Shafter, CA is seeking a maintenance technician to service and maintain manufacturing equipment, install and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components, and support daily plant operations.

You will follow EHS policies, use hand and power tools, operate forklifts/mannualifts if qualified, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in shift handoffs to ensure smooth production transitions and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; Familiarity with hand and power tools. Good communication skills, ability to work in a team environment. Willingness to learn and take on new tasks. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, and holidays if necessary.
• 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures such as LOTO, Hearing and Eye Protection etc.
• Safely and effectively operate assorted hand tools; grinders, drills, drill-press, saws, etc.
• Safely operate and maintain Forklifts, and Manlifts in accordance with manufacturer and company policies and procedures.
• Conducts basic maintenance tasks, such as changing filters, replacing belts, and lubricating machinery.
• Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines that are not accessible by operators.
